Sleep & Relaxation are two important aspects that contribute to our overall health and wellbeing, a good sleep is restorative, reduces stress, improves cognitive function and can prevent illness. In order to relax completely, the inner tensions of the body, emotions and mind must be released - then the actual state of relaxation dawns.
During these sleepy Sunday sessions we will create an ultimate relaxation experience to send you away ready for deep, nourishing sleep.
In the beautifully calm and peaceful surroundings of Loft Spa we will begin with a drink of moon milk - an ayurvedic blend of adaptogens and spices to inspire a blissful night’s sleep.
Then we will move into some breath work to activate our parasympathetic nervous system: our rest and digest state creating the perfect conditions for some gentle yin yoga to open our bodies and allow release of physical tension held deep within connective tissues of the body. Finally we will slip into a deep Yoga Nidra allowing our brains to hover in that space between wake and sleep unlocking the benefits of the hypnagogic state of consciousness.
This session will leave you feeling relaxed, nourished and rejuvenated ready to float back home for a good night’s sleep.
